Our History
Over 20 years Tender Loving Care Professional Montessori Child Development Center has provided quality education in a small environment. With mature teachers and staff Tender Loving Care continues to provide a sound foundation to its family who entrust their little ones to us. TLC is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. The center is affiliated with the American Montessori Society.
The staff consists of Montessori experienced, degreed staff, early childhood and child development staff members. TLC staff members are more than teachers; they are facilitators.' The goal of any great facilitator/staff person is to help guide young learners get to the point of their hearts and minds so that they are ready to continue to emerge into learning.
Our Classrooms
Our classroom is an exciting place for your child to be. Our shelves are filled with many interesting and beautiful materials that provide your child with fun and stimulating activities that nurture the excitement and curiosity of the child. Our materials are visible and accessible to the children.

Montessori Schools
In 1896 Maria Montessori was the first woman to graduate from the University of Rome Medical School. After years of working with young children in the inner city of Rome, Maria developed a new method of learning. Her goal was to establish a natural learning experience for children. Maria labeled that experience as the "Prepared Environment" This prepared environment instills a certain order and progression which enables children to learn.

Tender Loving Care Staff
TLC’s skilled and nurturing staff continues to provide a sound foundation for our community who entrust their little ones to us. Our staff consists of Montessori experienced, degreed, early childhood and child development staff members. Our staff carefully prepares and maintains the learning environment. They are essential in bringing together the child and the materials and guide the children’s social and emotional development.
Our staff practices daily observation in order to follow each child’s progress and to determine the student’s interest when introducing new materials and lessons.
